Workshop documentation with young local filmmakers
Motus was a fulldome festival and immersive exhibition developed in the mountains of Alishan, Taiwan — bringing together dome screenings, environmental storytelling, local collaboration and an international audiovisual programme inside a temporary geodesic structure.
Alongside the central dome piece, the festival generated field documentation and educational work with local children. The workshop peispak'i ta 360, developed with students from Laiji Elementary, extended the project from exhibition into a collaborative learning process grounded in the festival's own territory.
Organised by Rebalance Renaissance Group and staged at MOTUS Art Space in Laiji Village, a 10-metre dome became the centrepiece of a programme linking conservation, indigenous knowledge, visual art and music. Alejandro Rodríguez / Dogrush worked as artistic lead and technical director — directing Through the Eyes of the Tribesman, designing the dome control software with Guillermo Deffis, and coordinating part of the invited programme.
The page gathers the exhibition atmosphere, field research, installation process and dome calibration views around the 2020 programme — keeping visible the festival's broader ecology: the hunters who shaped the central film, the community that hosted the project, and the technical setup that made continuous screenings possible inside the dome.
