Additional documentation focused on setup and process.
Shader Mapping was developed in 2009 for Espacio Fundación Telefónica, at a moment when architectural projection mapping was still an emerging practice. The project originated from an invitation by Martín Borini to produce a projection mapped onto the building façade. Drawing on prior experience with 3D animation and real-time content, Rodríguez applied techniques from UVW and light-map workflows used in VR and videogame environments.
He created a custom C++/OpenGL tool that projected an unwrapped texture onto a live camera feed, enabling real-time colour correction and alignment adjustments. The tool functioned as a bridge between game-engine lighting techniques and large-scale architectural projection, integrating directly into existing 3D production pipelines.
